Setting up a custom E-Mail through GMail interface

First Step

Login to your GMail account: http://www.gmail.com

Enter your Google account information (login normally)

Second Step

Open gmail settings through the “gear” icon on the top right

Third Step

Add a POP3 account

POP3 is the protocol responsible for receiving E-Mails

First thing, open the “Accounts and Import” tab

Then click on “Add a POP3 mail account you own”

Write your desired E-Mail in the screen that pops up, then click next.

Notice: it has to be created in advance, do not proceed if your E-Mail is not yet created.

In the next window, do the following:

  • write the username, which is the same as the E-Mail itself
  • write your password
  • POP Server: pop.emitors.com | Port: 110
  • “Label incoming messages” is essential
  • leaving a copy of the e-mail on the server is not essential, tick at your own needs

After successfully adding your e-mail account, let’s move on to add the ability to send e-mails as well

in the next window, tick “Yes, I want to be able to send mail as ….” and click next

Write your desired name, and tick “Treat as an alias”, then click next.

In this screen, write the following:

  • SMTP Server: smtp.emitors.com | Port: 587
  • username: your email
  • your password

Tick “Secured connection using TLS”

SMTP is the protocol responsible for sending E-Mails

in this screen, you will have to confirm the ownership of the email account

check your gmail inbox for the verification message

got the message? open it

Copy the verification code

Paste the verification code in the popped-up window in the previous step

Okay, we are done! Your GMail account is now configured to send and receive e-mails with your custom E-Mail!
